TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, September 19 (PIA)–Gimando ni Presidente Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang pagbalik sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) gikan sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Pinaagi sa gipagawas nga Executive Order No. 5, gimando ni Pangulong Marcos ang pagbalhin sa attachment sa TESDA ubos sa DOLE alang sa “policy ug program coordination.”
Nakalatid sa Seksyon 2 sa maong EO nga ang Secretary of Labor and Employment ang angay nga chairperson sa TESDA Board agi og pagsunod sa Seksyon 7 sa Republic Act No. 7796 o Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Act of 1994.
Gitumbok usab sa EO ang Section 2, Chapter 1, Title VII, Book IV of EO No. 292 o Administrative Code of 1987, nga nag-ingong “DOLE shall be the primacy policy-making, programming, coordinating and administrative entity in the field of labor and employment, responsible for the promotion of gainful employment opportunities and the optimization of the development and utilization of the country’s human resources.”
Ang TESDA ang nag-unang ahensiya nga responsable alang sa “formulating continuing, coordinated and fully integrated technical education and skills development policies, plans and programs, taking into consideration improved linkages between industry, labor and government in the formulation of any national-level plan.”
Ang TESDA orihinal nga attached agency sa DOLE, apan tungod sa nahimong kamanduan ni kanhi Presidente Rodrigo Duterte niadtong Oktubre 2018, gibalhin ang TESDA sa DTI nga ang katuyoan mao ang “to ensure responsiveness and efficiency in the delivery of essential public services and the attainment of the administration’s ten point socio-economic agenda and the development goals as articulated in the Philippine Development Plan.” (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
